The server was very friendly and attentive! She cleared plates right away and checked on us. The buffet was good-a nice variety from fried chicken which was juicy and the breading actually had seasoning to fall off the bone bbq ribs, chicken and dumplings, and lots of other choices. The Mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole were my favorite sides. Wish the pork and beans were more of a baked bean. The pineapple cobbler was delicious-sweet and a touch of tart with the crunchy, sugary soft crust a good cobbler needs. Topped it with the nondairy vanilla ice cream and it was a nice way to finish the meal. Very comparable to Judy Boone's down the street-go and choose your favorite!

You can't beat the price $15.99 for dinner. All you dare to eat. Went to Back Home and Judy Boone's back to back to compare. Both are very similar. Judy Boone's has more to offer on the bar but I give the nod to Back Home just by a hair. The oysters and cat fish were cook to perfection. Better the JB's. The collars were a lot better here at BH. Not bitter like at JB's. Didn't eat anything bad and even tried the frog legs for the first time. Go to both to see which one wins your vote for the best.

Tried this local hidden gem! The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. Nice open tables great windows to look outside and great weight staff. The food is great! They have a mini salad bar : lettuce, tomato, cucumber, beets, potato salad, crab salad, homemade crispy, croutons, and multiple dressings just to say a little bit about the mini salad bar. The main all you can eat food bar : chicken, bog, chicken and dumplings, rice, pulled pork fried to perfection hush puppies fried fish, fried shrimp, Salisbury, steak and gravy, you name it they have it. Everything well spiced and great country flavor. Dessert : banana pudding, Oreo, cookie pie and self-serve ice cream. All you can eat! Great price plus they also offer beverages soda tea. Great local spot give it a try.

We rented a house in North Myrtle Beach for my daughter's graduation. We were coming from NJ so I relied on Yelp reviews to find a place that would cater and we were not disappointed. We worked with Patty. She was so easy and accommodating. We ordered trays of pretty much everything. One thing was more delicious than the next. The sweet potato casserole, the ribs and the chicken were my favorite. Everyone kept going up for more and we had plenty of leftovers. The portions were plentiful. The only tip I would suggest is not ordering the mussels or the shrimp. Not because they weren't good but bc they didn't travel well. I definitely recommend if you are looking to cater ordering from here.

After the location was the long standing Prosser's, then the inlet BBQ for a hot minute, now it's Back Home BBQ. It's simple Low Country cooking that will fill your belly with typical southern fare. My two favorite dishes on the buffet were the homemade macaroni and cheese, and probably the best sweet potato casserole I've ever tasted. Arrived just before the local rush of locals, charter Captains, local workers, and tourist. Though there are many restaurants to choose on the famous Murrells Inlet walkway, most are geared for tourists, and charge premium prices to maintain their elaborate establishments. But when you want to eat actual Southern cooking, this is it for the area. Simply Southern BBQ is for Myrtle Beach what Back Home BBQ is for Murrells Inlet. So come down, find a table, get your sweet tea, and enjoy an actual home cooked meal. Cannot give better praise then that!
